Thanks! The kits are very well made. The detailing is very good out of the box. More accurate than the smaller kits for sure. There are only minor things that I have added or will add as I continue this build. They don't come with any windows or viewports, those all have to be drilled out individually. There is also a lot of filing and sanding and putty work that needs to be done. They are also resin kits so regular model cement will not work very well. Only epoxy resin.
As for aquiring the kits though, I believe I've heard from one or two modelers that Reliant is no longer in production. I guess the molds have worn out. This Reliant is a commissioned build so the kit was sent to me from a client. As far as I know the Enterprise is still available for purchase. The kit is very expensive, so save your coinage. But yes I am really enjoying working on these models. Larger kits are difinately the way to go! Thanks!
