I've been looking at many pics of the falcon lately, since I've got a semi-complete one to revise and finish. I've noticed that issue too.
What I think it is is that the centerline of the tunnel moves forward towards the center. It seems to move off-center as it goes towards the gun turret. It makes that elliptical, angled edge not a correct ellipse also.
The elliptical/angled area didn't look right to me, so I had been trying to figure out what the problem is. I don't think it's the angle of the cockpit tube that's off, but the center greeblie area on the top.
At least that's what I came up with. What do you think?
