I'm not an officionado on the sizes/dimensions that define SS for SW. But, it looks in scale with the Niesen TIE which is acknowledged as SS. Except for the internal makeup and pilots. But I understand that to be a matter for debate.
"Small details"- you should see the LightSaber handle I whittled out of aluminum for Darth. Alas it doesn't really show up for how he usually keeps it tucked away?
So sometimes I think about it and I kinda believe that I enjoy the challenge of packing features into a really small subject even more than working with the big ones? Oh, I can't stuff ALL the details into something small but it is fun to fit more in than some folks might expect.
