So bout time got back to building this Battlestar.
Seems to be alot of Cylon work in progress.
So after much trial & error I have developed a way to size up photos to actual model size.
This has obviously been used before but is something I just figured out myself to help get measurements, sizing, parts placement as close as possible.
So I have succeeded in sizing up some Pappas photos to the actual studio model size
It is just a massive help & a huge relief.
This lifts weight off the ol shoulders cause now I can proceed with confidence.

Galactica Body scaled up with kit parts for varification.
   
   
My raised body panels for sizing, Got pretty close
   
Panels with upper panels removed to show clearly where I need to adjust to scale. Shouldn't be too much of a problem & am confident I can get it done right now.
   
I have done the same to the neck & will cut all my sections from 3mm styrene from here in. Its just much easier to work with.
   
Plenty of misses before getting the pictures sized up.....
   
I also had a practice bevelling the edges of some scrap acrylic with the sander grinder, linnishing machine my wife bought me for Christmas.
First time used.
   
Not too bad. Maybe a little more practice before i dive into it.
