Ragtag member ? - darkimmitator - 04-18-2010 This is a scratch built ship from various leftover kit pieces and greeblies that bares a resemblance to the prison barge from BSG .Length is 13 inches long and is possibly to scale with my ss battlestar . I thought it turned out pretty good for being completely built in four hours ! Myself and a friend had a build off at model building contest ,where we take a box full of old model parts ,and we start building something sci fi ,during the course of the model show or contest .At the end of the contest we let the other model entries vote for the winner . we could not vote as we were also judges in the contest .Uh hum , yours truly won the scratch buildoff ! RE: Ragtag member ? - darkimmitator - 04-19-2010 There was no paint whatsoever on the model ,there simply was no time .it was a very colorful miss match of Star trek ,tank ,sub ,battleship ,and broken down radio controled cars parts !! The paint was put on a couple of days later ,which greatly improved the looks of this model ! The main bridge was one of the arms off of the star trek space staion glued to a piece of plastic tube from I think , a small plastic hockey net . Everything else was just glue on and around the plastic tube ! ( NOTE ) The tiny styrene panels or acne were adde on just before paint to give it a little more detail.
