Hello.
I'm an old school hobby scale modeler who has become newly fascinated with pro studio scale modeling history and technique.
I have gone from scratch building my first greeblies with Evergreen in an attempt to replicate some bits of the hero Cylon Raider prop on a Moebius kit, to having drawers full of strip, rod, sheet and tube, and bookshelves full of ILM picture books. I even have a drill press in my kitchen now... I'm having a blast expanding my modeling skills.
I am working on Randy Cooper's 42" resin Star Destroyer, and have gone full in attempting to correct certain areas of it with the studio scale parts.
Ive met some amazing folks on FB studio modeling pages who helped me identify the Tamiya and Hasegawa kits i needed, and am learning Fusion 360 to replicate the parts for 3D rescaling and printing.
Tis an honor to be here in the company of my fellow modelers.

Glad to hear a fellow modeler is using Fusion 360! Let me know if you have any questions or tips or tricks on using this software. I'm currently using it exclusively for my TIE - check it out in the 3D modeling section.

Its good to see a resurgence in studio scale modelling.
