MPC Millennium Falcon - Jake88 - 05-10-2014
Hi all,
Been working on this kit for a week now and haven't even touched the actual kit yet except for the fact that I don't like the canopy part. So Ive decided to make a new one. Needed to make it a little longer and therefor look a tad larger. The diameter is only a couple mm bigger than the kit part but it looks a lot better than the stubby kit part. It took me at least 10 tries to get this canopy done so there's no way I'm turning back now. Not sure yet if I'm going to cut into the tunnel and raise it up yet. So here is a weeks work! ;D

Ahh,,, the more I look at this canopy the more I have to re-do the shape. Its just not cone shaped enough.

Well I got the Falcon wrapped up and the base finished so I thought I'd post some pics. I was going for a "Master Replica's" look, but no lighting. I'm pretty pleased as to how it came out. Mods I made were: shortened side walls with scratch built details, scratch build cockpit and tunnel, scratched landing gear boxes on the bottom and a lot of added detail to the hull. Thanks! The stand is made from a 12X20 mirror ($8.00) mounted to a wood frame made from some trim I had laying around. The stick is also wood and Its just epoxied to the mirror. All very simple.
