Raiders flying wing 1/72nd - LeeS - 08-19-2012 Finally finished this nice little piece today, having brought a good 3 years back. Raiders Flying Wing, called the BV 38 by the kit maker Black Sun. Appears to be fairly accurate to what's on screen and makes an interesting piece. Can't remember the last time I built an aircraft kit :-) VERY clean and easy to built kit (castings by BLAP I believe). One major problem was my not prepping the resin enough and the paint coming off during masking. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More pics: Misc Models - a set on Flickr RE: Raiders flying wing 1/72nd - darkimmitator - 08-19-2012 Very cool plane . Well done sir ! RE: Raiders flying wing 1/72nd - Wombat - 08-21-2012 That is one funky looking design! And a really nice job with it as well! Your subtle weathering looks killer once again on what is a relatively clean bird. Sure looks pretty bloody good to my eye. Just for some fun, how bout some ketchup and one diced up figure? lol Fantastic work there, Lee!! RE: Raiders flying wing 1/72nd - Tsophika - 08-21-2012 Well you definitely recovered from that paint mishap. It looks awesome! Did the figures come with the kit? It's cool seeing Belloq there. Craig RE: Raiders flying wing 1/72nd - LeeS - 08-22-2012 The figures are from a Peiser Luft set. I didn't want to make/search for Indy etc figures, so I went for an 'arrival in Egypt' setting. 'Medic!' would be good too, but then I'd have to blow it up. |
